Why Jeff Bezos Thinks Nasa Treats Blue Origin Unfairly!

Blue Origin. a space company, was founded by Jeff Bezos back in 2000. Only two years later, Elon Musk founded SpaceX, which seems to be getting ahead of its rival at this point. The competition between both companies has existed for more than a decade now. But it only turned into something much more fierce over the last couple of months when both SpaceX and Blue Origin were eyeing a moon-landing contract with NASA. NASA decided to enter into a contract with SpaceX and Blue Origin decided to respond with a lawsuit. The aftermath of this is more interesting than ever as these space giants stand on the brink of a war. Let’s try and assess where they go from here.

The richest and the second richest persons on Earth, Jeff Bezos, and Elon Musk, have been in a space competition for quite a few years now. Bezos’s Blue Origin and Musk’s SpaceX have also had their eyes set on a contract with NASA that depended on the proposal for a lunar lander mission. When NASA decided to choose SpaceX for the mission, Blue Origin responded by filing a lawsuit against NASA. The aftermath is both exciting and concerning, but a lot has happened over the previous weeks. So, why is it that Blue Origins feels that they were wronged by NASA and where do they all go from here?

  1. I don't know maybe I'm biased? But I hear Elon Musk speak ,I say hell yeah !I hear Bezos speak and I think oh my God what a deedle dweeb!

  2. Ok, first of all, there aren't "two space giants" here. There's SpaceX which actually makes spacecraft and Blue Origin which makes sub-orbital carnival rides. Right now BO has no technology that can even get them into LEO, much less to the Moon. The logical choice in every way was to choose a company who actually already makes spacecraft. BO's rocket isn't in any way a viable spacecraft…it's not even a design that will ever become one.
