SpaceX launches the next Starlink mission, a constellation of networked satellites aimed at providing internet services to individuals who are not yet connected, as well as dependable and inexpensive internet access throughout the world.
Dedicated Falcon 9 missions using SpaceX’s newest Starlink spacecraft have transported between 48 and 53 satellites each mission. To date, SpaceX has launched 1,944 Starlink satellites, and the upcoming mission will bring that total close to 2,000.
