  2. I am glad they give you the opotion to turn on/off the roaming service as needed each month.

  3. Free high speed internet to the world has increased their rates.. again? lol.

  4. My normal speed at home is 40-10 and pay 60 a month. Double pay, more than double speed, yea

  5. So glad i didn't get my hopes up for this one. Up front it seemed like the answer to my prayers up in the top of the Rockies, then I recieved my invite to pay like 700-800 bux off the bat before you have even installed it. Then within 6 months your equipment was out dated. Just not for me.

  6. Peanuts! I remember the Syquest, Zipdisk, CD ROM days. Even now with being semi-retired I'm regularly moving multiple gigabytes of data on a corporate Comcast connection. During my self employed years that could be a daily but most definitely at least a 3 times a week occurrence, the delivery bills used to be more per week then my internet connection is now per month. Now the office is moving data and having meetings. Like I said peanuts.

  7. SL will slowly increase the fees until the people start to squeal. Right now, customers are all in, even if the fees increase monthly. SL is a new thing and not available to everyone so that makes it more desirable and fashionable.

  8. Hey jc it’s me again Starlink isn’t responding to me at all I’m thinking of just canceling my service

  9. We ordered Starlink for our lake house that had an open cell and everything is working great. Out of the blue we received a cash offer for the lake house and will be closing next month. Our primary house has no cells open for a 60 mile radius . Since I am a current customer do you think they would allow me to change the service address to my primary residence with no open slots? or just keep the lake house address and pay for roaming?
I don't want to lose the service. Thanks

  10. yeah bro got it you mean this is specially for countryside people but try to understand those people are not that rich to pay 130usd for Wi-Fi 😅 they hardly earn 200-300 usd a month and even small towns have fiber server here therefore I was making my comment.. Starlink might be good no doubt but I was talking about affordablity.

  11. I gamed the system. i placed an order Mar 3 21 for an address that I was expecting to move to in May 21. My service date I got pushed several times thru 2021 to then mid 2022. thru this time I watched people around me by only a few km who ordered well after me get service with no available explanation from Starlink. Watching different u tubes i then started looking for nearby addresses with sooner service targets. In early Nov 2021 i ordered a second starlink for a service address on the same road but about 600 address numbers different only 3km from me with an early 2022 service target. that order was fulfilled in mid April was setup with no issue. 2 days before recieving this order I was notified that my original order from Mar 3 21 was ready to ship. I was dumbfounded. when the original order came i replaced the existing dish to use the one assigned to my service address. The first dish was handed off to a friend and business partner who is using it several hrs away from its service address. several days into its setup i got the roaming email. I will assume that it will be billed the roaming charge automatically. to date I have only been charged for first month billing on both dishes and will see what happens next billing. It has been suggested that I am on a cell boundary which is why i had to watch people around me get a dish when i had to wait despite my early order. i have yet to initiate a service ticket for an explanation of my delays.

  12. Here in India, I am enjoying 1gb/ps both download and upload fiber very stable only for 60 usd per month. And the cost is same all over India and no equipment fees are taken the only thing you have to do is to pay 150 usd and you get free installation and 1gbps internet plan for 3 month included…. The main thing is you also get literally all subscribe free and I mean all subscriptions. From Netflix Spotify prime video voot alt every membership free with Wi-Fi and even all tv channels tooo,,,,,, why the fuck we will use starlink that cost 110 usd a month for 10 mbps upload

  14. So my future FT residence will be near Aspen, CO and I’m in queue for that currently-full location. And my current location is in rural NE where the Starlink map shows vacancy. If I pay the extra $25.00/ month for roaming from NE, can I then change my geolocation address to CO and then enjoy a $25.00 reduction in my monthly bill all while maintaining my quality connection? Not interested in cheating/gaming the system but my move to CO is dependent upon Starlink service!
    Thoughts Joe?
And I still can’t figure out how to reach a Starlink person!!! All drop-down stuff…Argggh!

  15. You left out a few details on this one, for example prior to the $25 roaming fee there was no way to use a US Starlink dish in Canada or Mexico (or the other way around), which a lot of seasonal "snow bird" travelers were unhappy about.

Also roaming is still limited to ones home continent it is not yet worldwide like you said.

  16. Do you not get the map that allows you to change the permanent address/gps yourself?

  17. I used this method to purchase my dish. I have been waiting since you could pre order in Michigan.

When they made this announcement, they actually updated my service address and it showed I was not roaming. Interestingly enough, it was further away from the open cell than my actual address.

I was finally able to update my service address to my house.

My Feb 2021 pre-order is still expected mid 2022… glad I did what I did.

  18. This wasn't an accident, it was a back handed way to bilk all the suckers out of another $25! They had to figure that all the people who went out of their way to order it at a different location would fork out another $25! With all the price increases, poor customer service and people reporting slow speeds and outages of 5 days or more Starlink is starting to look like Centurylink! LOL

  19. well he did ask for some er ah hackers to help protect his sats , this might cost a lil i hearz….

  20. Thank you for all the information on Starlink! I'm about to order it but I'm not always at the location where I want to install it so it would be safer if I ship the kit at my main address instead. That would be considered roaming then?

  21. Although I will not need to move my antenna, I agree it is a great deal at $135

  22. I did use your technique to get Starlink at my house. I am supposed to get it this weekend. That will be 10 days from when I ordered it. Thanks

  23. Yep already $130+ per mth Australian here plus another $35 extra a mth for roaming

  24. So interesting, I am in a full cell and soon after roaming went on and people started moving my service tanked and I would have 3-5 outages (10 minutes) per day. Suddenly when they added the $25 fee plus prioritization my outages completely stopped. I think it was a smart way to plug the hole and support those who want to use their starlink while traveling.

  25. Here’s my gripe order starlink Feb 9 2021 still have not received any updates just says mid 2022. Used the hack and got a system last month. But they say 1st come 1st served I call bull 💩. My former shop where my daughter in law still works orders a system 6 months after me and received system 2 weeks ago Also have a former customer that I told about starlink 3 months after I order my system got his last week. We are all located in the same cell. 🤬

  26. Glad I didn't buy in, This instability in billing is insufferable. If I can't lock in with a 2 year price fix I will never do something like this. It reminds me of cable networks, what a joke.
