Unboxing my new Starlink Satellite Beta Test Satellite Dish Antennae and building a structure to affix the satellite dish to the roof.

Starlink is the new worldwide fast internet satellite based system from SpaceX currently rolling out its beta testing program. Elon Musk of SpaceX announced the beta earlier in 2020 with a larger roll out occurring later into 2021.

In this video, I unbox the Starlink Satellite package and show each individual item which is enclosed, and measure the included tripod and dish antennae fondly named Dishy McFlat Face by Elon Musk.

I admire the build quality and space age components and am genuinely amazed by the fact that the entire system, from the power supply, wireless router, to the antenna come already wired and ready to use right out of the box.

I then proceed to build a deck structure to attach the Satellite to the solar panels I already have on the roof.

The video ends with a sunset roof discussion about the cabling and overall amazing value the new Starlink system represents.

  1. Buy the stock when it starts trading. Thank you for you for your informative video I envy your view, absolutely beautiful. Go Starlink, SpaceX, Tesla, Boring and Neuralink! Advertising is not necessary.

  2. How much does a star antenna satellite link cost is a monthly subscription or is it free as promised all over the world

  3. Congratulations! Please be careful with your wood stove so close to a combustible wall. Hope it has some built in shielding.

  4. sorry didn't mean to sound like a broken record on the bit vs byte thing so i deleted that post

  5. People keep confusing Mbps with Mb's
    160 Megabytes is = to 1280 or 1.2Gbps

You're actually getting 20 Megabytes per second which is very good!

    Here's some propper terminology.
"One megabyte is equal to eight megabits, but the terms are used in specific ways: Megabits per second (mbps) are generally used to describe the speed of an Internet connection, whereas megabytes (MB) usually refer to the size of a file or storage space."

  6. I look forward to this service for the rest of the world, especially Latin America.

  7. Um …… um ………um………um…. um aint a word stop saying um 20 times !!! So annoying learn to talk geez, cool starlink video nice ?

  8. Very excited for Starlink here in WV…Couldnt watch the whole video b/c my Frontier internet was buffering too much..lol

  9. Congratulations. Your speed is in mega bits per second though. A bit equals 1/8 of a byte.

  10. Wow, even with your Dishy pointing towards and into those Solar Panels…LOL. Mine's well pointing towards my freakin' Willow Trees and I really have to do another obstruction shoot to see if they are in the way! Way fast speeds you attained! Good job, mines not quite as fast as yours but close and definitely satisfying my Netflix needs on my farm now!
Oh and where is your location in a round about area…
