I like this idea. New Glenn has an enormous payload capacity. Enough to have enough margin for full reuse
Bezos has no honest plans. He is willing to promise anything in order to get free PR coverage. Then he has readymade excuses as to why Blue Origin cannot meet it's announced goals. Surprise! Surprise! 😂
How? Send spies to space x
The amount of resources required to make that second stage recovery work would offset any benefit it may have provided. It would be similar to the Shuttle’s srb’s except more expensive.
elon is beating jeff!
Wether you hate blue origin or not, you gotta admit the extra competition is gonna push space x to innovate even more which is gonna be great for the entire space industry
IF the NG ever flies. Love your 'spoiler alert'. Bezos whine to his (and my) senator and gets $10 million for a moon lander that may never be built, while SX gets $2.8 million and is already building a prototype that will eventually evolve into a lander.
Elongated muskrat: makes starship and starts succeeding Jeff Who: WRITE THAT DOWN OR I'LL DOCK YOUR PAYCHECK
Nice vid like always
You should make the Saturn shuttle with fly back booster
I think you need to make the upper stage stainless steel , like Jeff said, then sue spacex for using steel on starship
What's with the flag on the start?? Why USSR??
i just got kerbal space progam and its confusing for me idk why i bought it ;-;
Reusing the second stage would hinder the payload capacity??
If they copy the design of starship, why doesn’t Jeff just help fund starship and take a cut of revenue?
Tbh I kind of feel bad for Jeff, everyone gives him shit but no one really considers what it’s like to have your work ridiculed and brushed off by everyone in the space community, especially the SpaceX fans. I love New Glenn and I really want to see it fly. To Jeff if he reads this (incredibly Unlikely but possibly) who the fuck cares what Elon does, you have your own business, goals and technology. Focus on your own projects and keep on advancing, Step By Step Ferociously
I STILL DON'T GET IT SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG WITH BLUE ORIGIN!? ELON MUSK IS ALSO AN OLD BILLIONAIRE WHO IS FULL OF HIMSELF AND WANTS TO GO TO SPACE FOR NO REASON. IDC IF "ITS TAKING AWHILE" HOW MANY YEARS WERE THERE BETWEEN STARHOPPER AND SN8? QUITE A FEW! POINT IS, ROCKETS. TAKE. A. LONG. TIME. TO. BUILD! THIS IS LIKE SAYING THAT NASA IS BAD BECAUSE IT TOOK THEM 10 YEARS TO BUILD SLS, IT ISN'T TRUE! rant over
reminds me of the plan to recover the F9 second stage shame it was cancelled
Can't wait to see this fly for the first time irl in a few decades
why china flag lmao
Jeff Bezos: Noted.
You bring up some very good points. I honestly don’t think this rocket will ever fly. I think SpaceX has pretty much buried blue origin.
So NG is basically going to be a weak cousin of Starship that's not nearly as cool.
Too bad lawsuits can't launch new Glenn into orbit 😏
the reason i don't like the blue origin space program is becuz i feel its mainly to beat elon musks space x and also it is for only the rich men and its not for the sake of humanity
New Glenn is a really cool rocket, but the people that make it are not so cool Also hi Piolet!
pin me
How much money to give it wheels and land it on the runway. Maybe SSTO New Glenn?
Am I the Only one who thinks that it is idiotic they are copying the very thing they were slandering? Jarvis looks immensely complex and high risk smh
Piolet: This be not a normal New Glenn. Me: Because the one you have can fly.
5 seconds ago i was about to un sub because i thouht u were ded
I feel like Blue Origin is biting off more than they can chew, they first need to build the rocket before they can do anything. Also glad your back!
I will be surprised if they can do it without it failing or suing nasa. -_-
Just some news updates for you, I’m assuming this video was made without this latest info in mind: New Glenn’s first stage isn’t changing to stainless steel, the Jarvis stage is currently testing being stainless steel however. There’s a stainless steel test tank built for Jarvis that is larger than the old upper stage. There are currently 3 main plans for reusability: basically a smaller starship, a stage with an aerospace engine that doubles as a heatshield, or a spaceplane like stage that would return to a runway.
This is all according to Ars Technica who broke the story of Jarvis existing to begin with, this time with more info and pictures of a stainless steel test tank at Blue Origin’s launch facility at Kennedy Space Center. Amazing how Jarvis has hardware before New Glenn.
